Ames Moose Lodge 520
As I near the end of my tenure as your President; I would like to thank the current Board for their help in making this a successful 2 years. Mike, Charlie, Kory, Eric and Scott have done an outstanding job for your Lodge. In the 2 short years, we have accomplished what we set out to
do; with the help of some very dedicated volunteers. With the help of Joelle and Eric; we now have a web site that helps get the word out about what we do as a Lodge. We are getting 100+ hits a month on the web site; so go on line to amesmooseldoge.com and see what Ames Moose
520 is about. With our enhanced communication capabilities we now are sending emails on what is happening at the Lodge on a weekly basis. We’ve also purchased and installed a new Point of Sale system for the Social Quarters; that will make our operations run more efficiently,
and help the Administrator be more productive managing inventory, staff and services. Bear with us as we work the bugs out of the system. Other Lodges in Iowa are on the system; with great success. Your support also has helped in providing the necessary funds for some need
upgrades to our Social Quarters; and the Lodge kitchen because of insurance and state inspections.
As members you should be proud of the successes we have accomplished. We are showing folks in the community who we are as a fraternal Lodge. I want to thank each one of you for your support in bringing new members to the Lodge; and through participation in events, fund
raisers and contribution to make the Lodge better. Our fraternity is made stronger through your commitment. The Board can’t do it all. And remember that the size of the Lodge doesn’t dictate the success of the Lodge; your individual contribution does. We are noticed in the community
as to the success of our Lodge. That is the Moose’s commitment to service those that need help.
Too close; elections are coming up the first part of April for the Board of Directors. Our slate of candidates will be posted and elections held for the new board. Be a part of setting a course of the Lodge’s future in voting. We have a full slate of candidates; but will need volunteers to fill
positions that are appointed by the Board that are required by Moose International. It’s been an honor and pleasure to service these past 2 years as President; the future is bright for Ames Lodge 520.
Scott Saienga
